Starting Out
I got my start in aluminium fabrication, working contract for Heritage Gate — a nationwide fence and gate company. It taught me the trade at scale: production runs, tight tolerances, deadlines that didn't move.
Going It Alone
These days I run the business solo from my Whanganui workshop, taking every job from first conversation to final weld, bringing in trusted tradespeople when a job calls for it. No shortcuts.
Where I'm Headed
Most of my work is custom — gates, metalwork, horse float repairs, trailers, stable fittings. I'm also increasingly drawn to one-off artistic pieces and garden art. If a customer brings me an idea nobody's made before, that's the kind of job I want.
